The surprising news is that a keynote will be presented by ARM’s VP of technology Jem Davieswho will talk about the future of heterogeneous computing and ARM's support for standards such as OpenCL. Wikileaks Cables Show Massive U.S. Effort to Establish Canadian DMCA

Wikileaks has released dozens of new U.S. cables that demonstrate years of behind the scenes lobbying by U.S. government officials to pressure Canada into implementing a Canadian DMCA. The cables include confirmation that Prime Minister Harper personally promised U.S. President George Bush at the SPP summit in Montebello, Quebec in 2008 that Canada would pass copyright legislation, U.S. government lines on copyright reform that include explicit support for DMCA-style digital lock rules, and the repeated use of the Special 301 process to "embarrass" Canada into action.
This week, the SETI Institute announced that it would have to shut down its large radio telescope facility, called the Allen Telescope Array, near the California mountain town Hat Creek. For over a decade, SETI has used the 42 radio dishes in its array to scan the skies for possible communications from extraterrestrial intelligence.
Perfect 10 Sues Giganews for Copyright Infringement

In a case that very well may test the limits of the DMCA's (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) safe harbor provision for ISPs, adult entertainment producer Perfect 10 has filed a copyright complaint against Giganews (and 100 John Does) for $25 million. The DMCA is a tool that is both hated and begrudgingly respected by file-sharers, as it not only places significant limits on digital replication, but also protects ISPs from any illegal activities that may transpire across their network. Oh, the DMCA also allows for iPhone jailbreaking too.

Geremi Adam, the movie cammer for the Scene release group ?maVen’, will go down in history as a grand master of his art. Despite difficulties in pinning a crime on him, eventually Adam was arrested. According to a cable released by Wikileaks, that arrest was carried out as “a personal favor” to a movie industry official, setting off a tragic chain of events which would ultimately lead to Adams’ death.
