Starcraft 2 Pirated More than 2.3 Million Times

A report from TorrentFreak cites, amongst other statistics, the fact that the torrent file for the real time strategy Starcraft 2: The Wings of Liberty has been downloaded more than 2.3 million times since the game has been released in July of this year, leading to a total of 15.77 Petabytes of data downloaded.
Behind The Scenes at Anonymous’ Operation Payback

Operation Payback has been without a doubt the longest and most widespread attack on anti-piracy groups, lawyers and lobbyists. Despite the massive media coverage, little is known about the key players who coordinate the operation and DDoS attacks. A relatively small group of people, they are seemingly fuelled by anger, frustration and a strong desire to have their voices heard.
Rapscallion - A New Community For Torrent Forum Staff

What if the BitTorrent community got together and pooled their information to catch invite traders, sellers and ratio cheaters? The concept itself isn’t a new one; in fact a system already exists between private trackers. It’s known that What.CD offers resources to tracker sysops & admins to catch & remove bad torrenters, available to those of the "Torrent Celebrity" userclass. That’s great for trackers, but bad BT behavior often begins well in advance of finding tracker invites. Unfortunately most Torrent Forum staffers are unable to access those tracker-to-tracker blacklists. Yet, as often is the case, bad members on torrent forums are the same as those found on trackers themselves - and are banned for exactly the same reasons. Is there a similar system set up that caters exclusively to torrent forum staff to share internal info amongst each other? Not until now.
LimeWire Resurrected By Secret Dev Team

Last month, the Gnutella-based file-sharing client LimeWire was effectively outlawed after a U.S. federal judge granted a request from the RIAA to shut the software down. Now, not even a month later, LimeWire is back as good as new. Not only has a secret dev team reanimated the hugely popular client, but they have also made a few significant changes which make it better and more streamlined than before.
